Manufacturing MOS Section Manager (m/f/d) - #2718674

In this role you will play a central role in managing a section-level organization, leading a team of up to 20 people. Ensure smooth daily operations, improve team efficiency, and achieve organizational goals, while also developing team members' skills and fostering employee growth and teamwork.

As part of this position, you will have the unique opportunity to complete a comprehensive up to 9-month training assignment at our mother fab in Taiwan. This immersive program equips you with deep hands-on expertise in manufacturing processes, systems, production operations, and governance according to TSMCs word-leading practice — providing the foundation to operate independently and at expert level upon your return to Germany. The training will start shortly after the start date.

Responsible for monitoring production capacity in a specific area (e.g., lithography area), collaborating with modules to resolve issues encountered during the production process, and ensuring smooth production flow. Lead the team in capacity or system improvement projects to continuously refine production processes:

• Possess a strong understanding of the production manufacturing processes and concepts in semiconductor wafer fabs, applying this knowledge to solve business problems, and having a basic understanding of related fields. Work closely with engineering department teams corresponding to the production area, deeply understand the business domain to achieve production goals.
• Utilize diverse information sources to evaluate situations, including the latest domain knowledge, relevant research, vendor information, etc., requiring analytical skills and judgment. Be able to filter, prioritize, and analyze complex and dynamic data. Collaborate with relevant organizations to ensure smooth product production, jointly taking responsibility for the quantity, quality, and timeliness of results.
• Manage a section-level organization, leading, motivating, and developing team members to ensure overall work quality and team performance. Influence the assigned department and related teams in the product production process.
• Posses excellent internal and external communication skills; lead teams, persuade and influence others, and exchange complex or sensitive information. Possess a strong understanding of process flows and concepts within the assigned departmental domain, applying this knowledge to solve business problems, and having a basic understanding of related fields. Work closely with the process and equipment teams within the same department, deeply understand the business domain, and collaborate with the integration engineering department and manufacturing department to achieve departmental goals.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and above (Master is preferred) ; Major in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics/ Applied Physics, Automation Technology / Control Systems Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of semiconductor related experiences and few years of leading people experience.
• Experience participating in or leading team projects or daily operations, demonstrating strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in cross-departmental collaboration or coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
