Your mission

At Wandelbots, we build software and robotics solutions that bring automation closer to real industrial use. As a Simulation Engineer, you will help create the simulation foundation for customer projects and internal development. You will work with NVIDIA Omniverse, CAD data, kinematics, and the Wandelbots NOVA Extension to build robust and production-oriented simulation environments.

What You Will Do

Simulation Scene Building

• Build high-fidelity simulation scenes for industrial robotics use cases in NVIDIA Omniverse/Isaac Sim
• Turn CAD data into clean, simulation-ready assets and structured scene setups
• Prepare simulation environments that are technically robust, maintainable, and ready for project use
  
  

Kinematization & Virtual Commissioning

• Kinematize grippers, fixtures, and production equipment to make them functional in simulation
• Set up technically correct simulation models and support virtual commissioning workflows
• Help close the gap between virtual validation and real-world deployment and execution by keeping simulation behavior practical and application-oriented
  
  

Wandelbots NOVA & Simulation Tooling

• Work with the Wandelbots NOVA Extension to integrate Wandelbots technology into customer simulation projects
• Help build and improve Isaac Sim extensions and simulation tools that make project delivery faster and more scalable
• Use modern AI-assisted tools to support your daily engineering work and improve efficiency in development and project execution
  
  

Your profile

You Have Hands-on Experience In Robotics Simulation And Enjoy Working At The Intersection Of Industrial Automation, 3D Simulation, And Software. Ideally, You Bring

• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse resp. Isaac Sim, or comparable simulation environments
• Solid CAD knowledge and an understanding of how to prepare engineering data for simulation
• Experience in virtual commissioning and a good understanding of simulation in industrial automation contexts
• Confidence in kinematization and in setting up technically correct simulation models
• A basic understanding of OpenUSD and awareness of the sim-to-real gap
• A structured, practical, and solution-oriented way of working
  
  

Programming skills, especially in Python, as well as experience with Git and collaborative development workflows, are a plus.

What Else Is Important

• German language skills at B2 level or above
• English language skills at B2 level or above
• Willingness to regularly work on-site at customer locations and support commissioning activities
• Enjoyment of working across different teams, including Software Development, Robotics, Product, and Customer Projects
