Our client is a leading Japanese environmental technology company specializing in advanced gas abatement systems used in the semiconductor manufacturing industry. The company has a strong global presence and supports many of the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers through innovative environmental and sustainability solutions.

Due to ongoing business expansion in Europe, the company is establishing and growing its service organization in Dresden and is looking for several Field Service Engineers to support key semiconductor customers.

Position Summary

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of gas abatement systems at customer semiconductor manufacturing sites.

You will work closely with customers, internal engineering teams, and global technical support teams to ensure maximum system uptime and customer satisfaction.

Comprehensive technical training will be provided during onboarding.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, startup, and qualification of gas abatement systems at customer sites
• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular service inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related equipment issues
• Diagnose failures and perform corrective maintenance activities
• Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and documentation
• Coordinate with technical support teams in Europe, Asia, and headquarters when resolving complex issues
• Manage spare parts inventory and service tools
• Provide technical guidance and basic operational training to customers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer engineering and maintenance teams
• Support emergency service calls and onsite troubleshooting when required
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and customer site regulations
  
  
  
  

Job Requirements Essential

• Technical education or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience involving mechanical and/or electrical systems
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills
• Willingness to work at customer sites and travel as required
• Professional working proficiency in English
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Field Service Engineering
• Equipment Maintenance
• Industrial Automation
• Manufacturing Equipment
• Semiconductor Equipment
• Industrial Machinery
• Facility Engineering
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in the semiconductor industry
• Experience with vacuum systems, gas handling systems, environmental equipment, or process equipment
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, automation, and control systems
• Experience with installation and commissioning projects
• German language skills are advantageous but not required
