Facility Management Engineer (m/f/d) - PUSD

As a Facility Management Engineer, you will play a key role in establishing and managing Facility Management services for ESMC’s office environment. You will be responsible for selecting, implementing, and managing external service providers while ensuring high-quality workplace services and positive employee experience.

You will be part of ESMC’s Facility Management team, supporting the development and management of workplace and facility services across ESMC’s growing operations in Dresden.

Job Responsibilities

Service Provider Management

• Manage the selection, tendering, and implementation of Facility Management service providers.
• Lead contract negotiations in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and procurement teams.
• Manage and monitor service contracts throughout their lifecycle.
• Track service provider performance using defined KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Conduct regular performance reviews and coordination meetings with service providers.
• Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of service-related issues.
  
  

Facility Management Operations

• Oversee and coordinate facility-related services, including: Cleaning, Catering, Landscaping and gardening services. Waste and Parking as well as Office space and meeting room management
• Ensure smooth daily operations and a high level of workplace satisfaction.
  
  

Technical Coordination

• Maintain a solid understanding of building infrastructure and technical systems.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding facility-related technical topics.
• Support the operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, water, and building automation systems.
  
  

Process Development

• Support the establishment and continuous improvement of Facility Management processes and service structures.
• Contribute to the development of service standards, performance monitoring, and operational best practices.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service quality and user experience.
  
  

Job Qualifications

• Degree in Facility Management, Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in Facility Management or a similar environment
• Experience managing external service providers and service contracts
• Experience in office building operations and workplace services
• Technical understanding of building systems, such as HVAC, electrical, water, or building automation systems
• Fluent German and English skills
