Your Skills

Must-have qualifications

• 
  Substantial experience in professional backend development and in leading the design or architecture of software systems
  
• 
  You are proficient in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Typescript or Python) and in both object-oriented design and reactive programming
  
• 
  Experience in Git, PR reviewing, Docker and familiar with tools, technologies, and practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  

Nice to have

• 
  Experience in designing and building distributed systems and service orchestration platforms
  
• 
  You have experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and/or data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster, Apache NiFi)
  
• 
  Familiarity with non-SQL database tools (such as MongoDB), GraphDB or semantic web (RDF, SPARQL, SHACL)
  
• 
  Fluent English; German is a plus, not a must
  

Scope of Work

Your Role

• 
  You`ll design, develop, and maintain microservices that can ease both the general processing of incoming data objects and applying ML processing to them
  
• 
  You take ownership to extend and improve the overall architecture of our service orchestration layer with robustness, scalability, and efficiency in mind
  
• 
  You make sure that the delivered software meets previously identified requirements and is of high quality by following or improving robust quality assurance processes and practices
  
• 
  You support in debugging issues in our data flow pipelines, ensuring that the service orchestration is working as expected, as well as identifying potential future improvements to mitigate the encountered challenges by design
  
• 
  You will design and implement layers for database interaction with MongoDB and GraphDB as well as push towards improved database schemas

In this role, you will take ownership for creating, improving, and orchestrating our generic, atomic AI building blocks into the powerful ensemble that brings our customers processes to the next level. You will be working with our orchestration layer in order to define the data flow and incorporate required microservices, putting needed monitoring and alert functionalities into place, and evolving its overall architecture further with scalability in mind
