To help us build the foundation of our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate:

ESMC Strategic IT Buyer (m/f/d)

In this role you will drive the success of our flagship semiconductor Fab by leading the IT Sourcing for critical IT infrastructure, equipment, software and services. Thriving in a truly dynamic and start-up environment you will lead complex international sourcing projects, collaborate with TSMC HQs Procurement Team and lead the negotiation and onboarding of local suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop procurement strategies for IT category (eg data Center, IT systems, software, licenses), assess business requirements, collaborate with the HQ based Procurement team for implementation.

2. Optimize supplier relationships by identifying, evaluating, and maintaining partnerships that ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable service delivery.

3. Lead contract negotiations to establish sustainable and cost-effective agreements with suppliers and service providers.

4. Manage procurement risks and budget by assessing potential risks, such as cost fluctuations or service disruptions, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

5. Conduct market analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

6. Ensure compliance with relevant procurement regulations, internal policies, and corporate governance standards.

7. Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, construction, facilities, and business operations teams to align procurement with functional requirements and project timelines.

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic procurement operations with focus on IT sourcing, ideally in a high-tech and multinational environment. You are driven by a passion for procurement and technology, you have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and are open to work in a start up environment.

3. Proven experience in supplier management and contract negotiations and strong understanding of procurement processes

4. Experience managing budgets, implementing cost control measures and cost savings reports.

5. Fluency in both German and English; additional languages are a plus.

6. Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills across technical and operational teams with a data-driven and concise style.

7. Strong analytical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.

8. Open-minded, culturally curious, and able to work effectively with colleagues and suppliers from diverse backgrounds.

9. Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa) and standard MS Office tools.
