What You Will Enjoy Doing
Through our 24-months trainee program you will gain hands-on experience in the complete progression of project engineering, with a focus on conceptual design, within an international organization.
You will get a comprehensive view of all aspects of both established and emerging technologies, with a particular emphasis on carbon capture and hydrogen.
The Program allows you to develop deep understanding of Linde Engineering’s business model through job rotation in various departments (mainly at Process Design, Systems – Start-up-/Shut-down Engineering and Safety and Environmental Protection; completed by Plant Layout & Piping, Engineering Plant Components).
One part of the program will be at an (international) construction site. From the beginning, you will take on the challenge of project work which enables you to grow on the job and gain extensive professional experience.
Your mentor will support you to reach your full potential by directly guiding and providing regular feedback. Additional trainings with your fellow trainees in relevant hard and soft skills will be offered along with the opportunity to visit some of our entities.
Active networking with peers and managers will boost your development.

What Makes You Great
- Above average grades in a completed master’s degree in process engineering or chemical engineering (MSc/ Dipl.-Ing.).
- Affinity for working with different IT applications is required.
- Moreover, you are proficient in English (written and spoken), and your knowledge in German (minimum B2 level) is vital.
- Clear and open communication skills are beneficial.
- You gained first experience via internships and/or studies abroad and you have an international mindset as well as the ability to collaborate in teams.
- Excellent analytical skills, self-confidence, outstanding self-motivation, and a desire to learn complement your profile.
- In addition, you are willing to take over responsibility and are capable to manage multiple tasks.
