NI’s (Emerson subsidiary) Optimal+ platform is playing in the field of Industrial IoT and is the only Big Data analytics platform that provides an end-to-end product analytics solution for automotive, semiconductors and electronics companies
The data science group is led from the Israel R&D site. This group is responsible for both customer engagement and company level machine learning strategy, infrastructure, and roadmap
As leaders in the field, we have an important role in bringing the full AI potential to manufacturing, we are working closely with our customers delivering the right platform for machine learning together with the right solutions, infrastructures, and methodologies to handle the full life cycle of machine learning in production
As part of the company AI roadmap, the Chief Data Scientist will be responsible for evaluating different ML frameworks, algorithms, methodologies, and tools, build generic machine learning applications (from use case initiation to actual deployment) and initiate improvements of internal and external (customers) methods and practices
The Chief Data Scientist will be responsible for helping customers perceive the full value of NI data platforms by leveraging advanced machine learning methods on top of NI’s data platform to solve customer’s specific requirements and use cases
The Industrial domain (Semiconductors, electronics and automotive) is very challenging as it comes to machine learning implementation and deployment due to the high cost of escapes/model inaccuracy, business workflow complexity, IT restrictions and regulation

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, developers, and sales to solve complex customer problems, and highlight opportunities on top of the NI Optimal+ solution using advanced machine learning methods
Design & Develop AI models from research to production, create solutions across diverse use cases, from tabular ML to deep learning, computer vision, analysis, and generative AI
Help design and implement robust and scalable machine learning life cycle support
Be a pioneer by bringing AI into completely new use cases to help world leaders like Nvidia, Qualcomm, VW and GM improve their products quality and costs by leveraging AI everywhere
Continuously learn and develop new skills as you participate and lead projects across a variety of use cases as well as AI methodologies, algorithms, and technologies

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, or related field; M.Sc. or PhD preferred
5+ years of experience in AI/ML/DL or related field of delivering solutions to production
Expertise in Python and libraries for ML & data i.e., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pytorch
In depth knowledge of machine learning techniques, deep learning, and statistical methods
Customer facing and presentation skills
Self-motivated, driven by challenges
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Expertise in the semiconductor and/or electronics industries
Experience in generative AI especially in nonstandard domains like large datasets of tabular or waveforms data
